Into the Maelstrom…

I have no idea what I’m doing. Computers are just glorified typewriters as far as I’m concerned. Programming tech jargon is just gibberish to me. I know nothing about html, or ftp, or any other arcane bits of geek practice. I’m completely lost here…

But, while lying in the bathtub, I had a sudden brain fart. I’ve accumulated all kinds of obscure bits of info on fannish fandom in my 43 years of active fannish activity (or ‘fanac’ in ‘fanspeak’.) Why not share it?

After all, my purpose in life these days is to promote (and revive) traditional fandom (What’s that? I’ll explain in the FAQ some day). What better way to do it than to acquire a domain name and build a website?

I googled “website hosts” and spotted a listing of “15 best web hosts” (or words to that effect) and chose the number one choice… IPAGE. I checked them out and signed up. The whole process took less than 15 minutes.

Now comes the slow part: building the web page and adding content. I know nothing… NOTHING…

I guess I’m just going to have to go out and buy any book labelled “WORDPRESS FOR SUB-MORONS.”

Cheers!   The Graeme
